Radical Change
We thought we have seen all about reality-shows on TV, but we were wrong.
Recently, they have done a new TV program format.. It’s called "Cambio Radical", and it’s emitted on Sunday’s evening.
This program is for people that need an image change and aren’t happy with their physical appearance.
The participants are submitted to all kind of operations and changes, where there enter surgeons, nutritionists, physical coaches and stylists. They are recorded days before the operations and they talk about their multiple complexes that prevent them a normal daily life.
Then, they spend two months in treatment without seeing their families until the day of the program, where they appear with their new image.
There are lots of mistakes that are committed and hard to be restored, well, save guaranteed plastic surgery it’s not in reach of everybody.
It can cause lots of frustrations in teenagers that are dissatisfied with their physical appearance and could think that surgery is the only solution.
I think that this program is made for cleaning the evil face that plastic surgery has got and promoting people to change any little defect, so, this TV program doesn’t give any profit psychological profit to our society.
Finally, I have to say that I agree with plastic surgery, but it shouldn’t be treat in such light way as it is treated on TV.

I agree with you, this program of TV isn’t a good influence for our society but I think that this king of surgery can solve a lot of SERIOUS Psychological problems like produced by some type of disease. The problem is like you say it’s not in reach of everybody…

Hi,
I totally agree with you.
I have seen it last sunday and I was terrified because I thought that this program was going to take into account things like self-esteem and they were going to trying a psicological solution first to make sure that a surgery is the last solution.
I think it is a delicated issue and programs like that don’t help.
Last weekend I saw a program in Cuatro called naked or something like this and they solve their problems changing their look but also show them that their problems were not so bad.
So, I am in favour of surgery but we have to be more careful and take it as the last option because it has risks.
